Hello everyone, just introducing myself. My name's Maleesha but my friends usually call me Lee. I've just recently stumbled onto the greatness that is Houses of the Blooded. As soon as I read the preview on Drivethrurpg I had to buy it. I can't wait for more supplements. Its really different from any other RPG I've played. I usually only play NWOD and even then it was only play by post. (So if anyone here is doing one of those, I'm totally game).

Also, I probably sound like a total geek but one of the reasons why I like the Ven so much is that they kind of remind me of the Nietzscheans from Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda. I try not to tell to many people how much of a nerd I am, but I guess you guys are special. :)

Welcome!

We're all nerds and geeks here, even if some of us hide it better. ;)

The ven really are quite spectacular, go check out the House Rules section for some cool posts about different settings for the ven. One of our members even ran a Ven In Space campaign a few years ago. :)

Welcome! While the post count is a little slow around here, it's got a strong community feel.

And just FYI, the HOTBlooded mechanics power the wonderful Samurai-Drama oriented Blood & Honor, as well... which is what keeps me 'round here. (Well, that, and vain hopes someone has the Orkworld Companion PDF somewhere...)

Thank-you! The link to it was backed up on web.archive.com, but they didn't grab PDFs back then (and rarely do so now), so only the link was backed up.

From John: John never wrote an Orkworld Companion. If there is one it's a fan supplement or someone thinks that Enemy Gods or some other game was a companion to Orkworld as John has common threads running throughout many of his games.

Greetings and salutations, young ven.

Present a token of your esteem to our host as is usual. Mind you, the punch will be spiked--foxwine is most likely. Count Kether is present, so be even more careful what you say and to whom you say it. Where he goes, so goes Lady No...I need not remind you of her predilections. Beyond that, relax! Enjoy. It's a party. They're supposed to be fun.

I shall pencil you in for this, what do you call it? Play by post game. It would grant those pesky veth who serve as messengers something to do now that winter is upon us, curses be upon it.

The web.archive.org pages for orkworld.com have it on the orkworld.com links page in the sidebar,
http://web.archive.org/web/200110172221 ... links.html
and the sidebar of the index2 page
http://web.archive.org/web/200103061202 ... ndex2.html

And it was hosted on orkworld.com
http://web.archive.org/web/200110172221 ... panion.pdf

as of Oct 2001. It shows as having been on orkworld.com as early as March of 2001... but not in January of 2001...

Was Orkworld.com not John's?

Hello all

I know I'm coming late to the party (really really late), but I just stumbled across HotBlooded. Out in exotic Oklahoma sometimes we're a little behind (or is that backwards? ) Anyway, I'm a great admirer of John's work and picked up HotBlooded solely on his name. I was not disappointed. I plan on trying to run a one-shot LARP to generate interest in my local gaming circle.

Hopefully you all will be hearing more from me. I'd love to hear from anyone with any tips or advice on getting potential players quickly up to speed.
